Objective
Dewar’s blended whiskey is famed for its double-ageing process. So how to bring the smooth effects of this remarkable return to the barrels to life?
We collaborated with director Chris Hopewell, fresh from his Radiohead video ‘Burn The Witch’ to recreate Dewar’s distillery barrel room. The team hand-drew an intricate animated tale of double-ageing across the wooden barrel ends.
Next was a whistle-stop tour of Dewar’s extra-smooth process, from stream to serve. GoPro cameras were hurled down raging rapids, huge copper tubes flooded with whiskey, closely pursued by tiny camera cars, glass bottles sliced, and labels peeled. All for one perfectly smooth ride…
